Well, friends, we did it! This is the second to last Kermit’s Cup of Tea of 2016, and we’re also just hours away from enjoying this year’s Christmahanakwanzika. Where did the time go? I don’t know about you, but this has been a year of ups and downs, of great moments and disappointing ones, of loves and losses, and yet through it all, we’re still here. To celebrate the end of this crazy year and excite us for the joy and possibilities of 2017, I’m giving you all an early holiday present. Take a guess…give up? Here’s the BEST find of the week:
Happy Friday, friends! We are just ONEEEEEEEE week away from winter break. Am I the only one crawling towards the finish line? Between studying, writing, and so many other commitments, I know we’re all looking forward to a nice, long break from school. Hopefully, this week’s Friday Findings will help you power through.
Happy Friday, friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely jumping for joy since we’ve finally made it to the end of another pretty long week. The week before Thanksgiving break and after elections has, at times, felt pretty unbearable, and yet here we are. Cheers to the weekend and another Friday Finding countdown!
Happy Friday, friends! It seems like now more than ever we need something fun, funny, creative, happy, and positive to counter all the negativity occurring in the world. Therefore, this couldn’t be a better time to bring back “Kermit’s Cup of Tea: Friday Findings,” where each week I’ll share my favorite finds from the week. If you stumble across something worth sharing and want to see it up on the blog, feel free to comment below or send an email to email@example.com. We’d love to hear from you!
Now, let the countdown begin:
Happy Friday, friends! We made it to this week’s finish line, and are just a few short weeks away from summer vacation (woohoo)! Earlier this week I shared that May is National Mental Health Awareness month, and if you’ve been keeping up with the blog, you’ll know that Kermit Says… devoted this week’s posts to all things mental health. One thing I realized is that some individuals oftentimes privilege visible illnesses over invisible ones. Why? Why do we take a broken fist more seriously than a broken mind? Just because you can’t see that someone is suffering, doesn’t mean it’s not happening and it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do all we can to support them and provide resources to help them.
Happy Sunday, friends! Instead of the usual Friday Finding for this week, I’m spotlighting and thanking mothers: biological moms, adopted moms, play moms, working moms, single moms, living moms, moms who’ve passed away, moms who are separated from their children through death or distance, teacher moms, church moms, sisters, cousins, and friends. Today, and quite frankly everyday, we are celebrating the life and legacy of the women who have supported you, protected you, guided you, disciplined you, taught you, empowered you, kissed you, hugged you, loved you through anything and everything. Sometimes we’re hard to love, but they love us anyway. Sometimes we don’t listen, but they advise us anyway. Sometimes we don’t make the best decisions, but they stand by us anyway. Sometimes we don’t show our appreciation, but they do things anyway. (Cute pics of me and my mom inside!)
Happy Friday, friends! This has been an unbelievably long week filled with restlessness, sleeplessness, anxiety attacks, and just overall blah blah blahness. I am absolutely THRILLED it has finally come to an end. So to kick this much-needed and welcomed weekend off, take a look at some of this weeks finds. Happy weekend!
Happy Friday, friends! I have to admit it has been a difficult week to find something meaningful to share with you all. At one point it was a coin toss between a hilariously adorable Huffington Post Parents Instagram video of a baby eating a pickle for the first time and the launch of Beyoncé’s new athletic line, Ivy Park. As entertaining and trendy as these things are to me, I figured they probably wouldn’t be as fun for my target demographic. So I thought harder and dug deeper until I realized inspiration was right in front of me all along.
Happy Friday, friends! Some of you have shared that Kermit’s Cup of Tea is one of your favorite parts of Kermit Says…, and after careful planning and lots of listening, we are now counting down Kermit’s favorite finds every single Friday. As we come to the end of the first full week of the new and improved Kermit Says…, here are some finds that have caught my eye this week. Have an awesome weekend, friends, and be sure to share your thoughts on this week’s cup of tea.
January was one heck of a month. There were some tests and trials, yet through it all, despite it all, there were some beautiful moments of transformation that I am confident came to be only because of those few misadventures. While I’m thankful for the lessons, I’m also beyond glad January is over. Who needs a 2016 restart? I know I do! So, instead of focusing on the unfortunate moments, let’s look at the five things that made me smile, shall we? Continue reading “Kermit’s Cup of Tea: Five January Favorites”
