Friday Findings

Just one more sleep until I’m back home, and I CAN’T WAIT! It’s unbelievable how quickly this week has flown by. Have we nearly finished the first week of August already? It seems like just yesterday I was lounging poolside with my friends and now I’m saying a teary-eyed “see ya later!” Sometimes I wish time could slow down just a little bit so I could relish in the moment and make more memories with the people I love most (or maybe wish for more wishes). I know I’m the woman I am today because of my amazing relationships. I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t met them or made decisions that led me to this very point. I’m a completely different person, a better person because of my experiences and interactions, and I wouldn’t change one thing. I believe everything happens for a reason, and I’m forever grateful for all that’s happened to me. So, here’s to wishing for more memories, making more special moments, developing more incredible relationships, and growing into the person you’re proud to be! What are you wishing for this week? Comment below! Now, on to the finds!

cup1Happy Friday, friends! How is it possible that time can feel like it’s both dragging along and flying by? I’ve been working at my old school in Massachusettes since late June, and here we are with just one week left before I head back home to Chicago. I honestly never thought I’d see the finish line. I love it up here and it’s been so incredible reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, but there’s nothing like being in your own bed and in your own space, right? We also have Saturday classes, so it’ll be really nice to have a real weekend and just enjoy my summer before starting a new graduate program this fall. It’s hard to believe this may very well be the last time I teach English, so I’m definitely savoring every moment. How are you spending your summer break? Comment below, and without further adieu, here are two of my favorite finds of the week. Have a great weekend!

cup1What do you do when you have a ton of work to do but are totally and disgustingly sick? Power through–snot-nosed, congested, sore throat and all. I’m a mess right now and would definitely do a cartwheel to celebrate Friday’s arrival if I could! So instead of the cartwheel, let’s celebrate with a few of my favorite finds from the week:

Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, friends! It’s supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow and Sunday, and I can’t wait. The weather has been pretty terrible this week–dreary, rainy, and incredibly windy–so the sunshine that’s bound to happen this weekend will be a wonderful break. Do you have anything fun planned? Comment below! In the meantime, here are a few awesome finds from the week. Enjoy!

img_4043Happy, happy Friday, friends! Give yourselves a pat on the back and a warm embrace because you have successfully made it to this week’s finish line. Congratulations to you! For those of you who resumed school on Monday, I’m sure it was especially challenging to get to sleep at a reasonable hour and wake up early and alert for class. For those of you still on or just starting your Spring Break, enjoy it! Our break ended on Monday, but I’ve been chaperoning a class retreat since Wednesday, so it’s kind of the best of both worlds: I’m in school, but not. Regardless of where you find yourselves on the spectrum, take a break from whatever it is you’re doing and check out some of these incredible finds from the week.

Happy Friday, friends! This has been such an incredible week, but I’ll admit, it’s also been ridiculously long and exhausting. I’ve been so busy, it feels like I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I’m really looking forward to starting Spring Break in less than two weeks, but until that day comes, I’ll settle for a nice, relaxing weekend. Do you have any plans? Comment below! In the meantime, take a look at a few of my favorite finds of the week:

img_4043Happy Friday, friends! I hope you had a beautiful and productive week. If you’ve been following the Kermit Says… Snapchat (@kermitsays), then you know exactly what’s been going on in my life. So many incredible changes and opportunities are heading my way, it almost feels like I’m dreaming. Sometimes it’s even overwhelming, but it’s all good things, exciting things, life-changing things, and I can’t wait for this next chapter for it’s reminded me that when good things happen to you, it’s important to keep the ball rolling and pay it forward.

Be the good for someone else.

Today I’m sharing a heartwarming story about a man who does more than pays it forward. In fact, I’d suffice it say he serves as an inspiration to us all by spreading love, care, and joy to those who need it most. Take a look:

Happiest final 2016 Friday, friends! A little more than a week ago, I was scrolling through my Instagram feed (surprise, surprise), when I stumbled upon an image of a planner. Now, if you know me well, you know I adore stationary and planners. I already had two planners for 2017, so there really wasn’t a need for another one…except this planner was different. It wasn’t the usual daily or weekly planner for which I typically reach. Instead, it was a goal-setting planner. To be quite honest, I wasn’t aware anything like that existed. Sure, I’d seen post after post and article after article on ways you should set goals, but nothing so detailed, specific, and unconventional as Lara Casey’s Make it Happen 2017 Powersheets: The Intentional Goal Planner. Intrigued, I went to Casey’s shop, ordered her Powersheets (the full year one is currently sold out), Make it Happen: Surrender Your Fear, Take the Leap, Live on Purpose book (2014), and Thirty-One Days of Prayer for the Dreamer and the Doer (2014)All three goodies arrived within a few days, and I couldn’t wait to dive in and review the first two texts!
