Tuesday Tunesday: Dream it, Believe it, Do it

We all have aspirations we yearn to bring to fruition, dreams we pray will turn into realities, and goals we want to achieve, but sometimes the path to getting there isn’t paved in gold. Instead, it’s more like a dull, rocky, gross texture. Just when you think it’s smooth sailing, you hit rocks you never saw coming. Sometimes these rocks are thrown your way and sometimes you (un)intentionally put them there yourself. Whatever the case, whatever the path, and whatever the dream, don’t let anything stop you from pursuing your passions and walking in your purpose. Motivational Monday: Be All In It

Who else is in disbelief that it’s April?! I swear I was just celebrating the new year and creating my vision board. Like most people, I remember starting 2017 off super focused on reaching my goals, and while I’ve met many of them, a few still seem to be a touch out of reach not because I don’t want them, but because I just haven’t been disciplined enough to really go after them. One of these goals is to improve my physical health, which has honestly been what feels like a lifelong battle. But as my mom says, “nothing beats a failure but a try.” In other words, as often as I struggle with my weight and overall health, my persistence and will to keep trying is the only thing that keeps me from failing, at least completely. And because it’s a new month and a Monday, I thought this would be the perfect time to try try again.

Motivational Monday: Power Through, not Down

Happy Motivational Monday, friends! Can you believe we’re just 22 days away from the end of Spring quarter and a much-needed Spring Break? We’re so close to the finish line, I can see it in the not too far out distance. The thing about finish lines, however, is the closer they seem, the harder we have to push ourselves to get there. Now this doesn’t apply to every single moment, but I often feel like the closer I get to Winter Break, Summer Break, or any break for that matter, I’m less than enthusiastic about doing any work and find myself procrastinating more and more, wasting hours binge-watching a new show (The Fosters, anyone?), scrolling through Instagram (#studyblr), or doing a bit of online shopping (JCrew, take my money!). I keep putting off my responsibilities until they pile up so high, it all becomes too overwhelming. And just when the deadlines loom, I’m forced to buckle down and complete my tasks with anxiety and stress at an all-time high. Does this sound familiar? I thought so.
