Happy Tunesday, friends! We are less than 24 hours away from the big announcement and opportunity I’ve been alluding to on Snapchat and Instagram, and to say I’m nervous is an absolute understatement. The butterflies are swirling about and my hands are shaking just thinking about it. When I feel anxious and worried, I try to take a deep breath and refocus, but when that doesn’t work, I dance it out! I turn that nervous energy into productive energy and use it to boost my confidence. So, whether you’re about to present your history project, speak in front of 15,000+ people (hint), head on to the lacrosse field, or compete in a major math tournament, sometimes we need a good tune to get us in the mood and remind us that whatever mountain we may face, we’ve got it! Here are just a few of my favorites:

Well, friends! It’s the day most students both anticipate and dread. The day they look forward to with both excitement and anxiety. Today kicks off finals week, three days of final exams, projects, presentations, and papers that stand between you and freedom. Three days that stand between you and graduation. Three days that stand between you and summer break. Just thinking about summer vacation brings a single tear of joy to my eye. So what can you do to perform at your optimum level and excel in your classes? Take a look back at my post before winter break, Rock Yo’ Finals!
Remember, the best way to prepare for what can be a pretty stressful week is to approach it with a peaceful mind, calm spirit, and confident demeanor. You can do this! I believe in you, so believe in yourself.

Good luck with finals and have an AWESOME summer! You earned it 🙂
Between grappling with current events, completing your commitments, and spending quality time with your friends and family, it’s quite possible that finals week has snuck up on you! Where has the time gone? Wasn’t yesterday September? Didn’t 500 bright and eager students descend onto campus–both anxious and excited to start the new school year? I guess not…
I am f-a-t. Fat. Hefty. Big boned. Chunky. You know that Eddie Murphy movie with the Klumps? Well I’m pretty sure he wrote that about me. I’ve tried everything to lose weight, but nothing works. I’m usually okay with my body, except for when summer rolls around. I’m so self-conscious that I’d rather wear sweats than shorts. I can’t even dream of going to the beach—who’d want to see my cottage cheese thighs in a swimsuit? Bathing suits weren’t made for me. I don’t really know what I’m asking, Kermit…I guess I just needed to vent.
